Getting Kids in NZ Writing

Room 4 students buddied up with a school in Hamilton and exchanged individual postcards and a poster with them. Students wrote a simile or metaphor to describe themselves, and completed a class poster describing their class, school and where they live.

There were 3000 classrooms involved in the project across NZ.

Students in room 4 were very excited to recieve the 32 postcards from a year 5/6 class in Hamilton this week. 

I am sure the students in Hamilton enjoyed reading the postcards from room 4 students too!
