NOTICE OF CAMP DATES FOR YEAR 5 – 6 STUDENTS FOR 2017

 In 2017, all Year 5 and 6 children will attend a 3-day/2night camp at Guthrie-Smith Outdoor Education Centre at Tutira.

The facility offers the following:

●      High and low ropes course

●      Flying Kiwi

●      Orienteering

●      Water activities – Kayaking, rafting

●      Team building activities

●      As well as nature walks and activities close by:  Lake Opouahi Kiwi Crèche, Lake Tutira, Holts Forest, Bellbird Bush …

Due to the increased cost of accommodation at this facility, and that we are required to employ an instructor to supervise the outdoor activities, the cost of the camp will be approximately $136.00. 

This may be an ideal opportunity for your child to think about doing some extra jobs for family and friends to help fund-raise money towards the cost of their camp.

The Year 5/6 camps take place in Week 5 of Term 4 (Monday 13 November - Friday 17 November). ROOM 4 students and Una, Sneha and Nathan from Room 6 will attend camp on Wednesday 15 November - Friday 19 November. ROOM 5 students and Daniel, Geoff and Charlotte from Room 6 will attend camp on Monday 13 November - Wednesday 15 November.

●     We will be asking for parent help for all camps early in Term 3. 

●     Parents who attend camp are police vetted.
